About the Project

IN2 were appointed to carry out full M&E design on a new Yoga Studio at Irishtown, Co.Dublin.

Completed earlier in March 2023, Yoga Yard is a serene, purpose-built studio with a calming courtyard garden, providing a true sanctuary in the heart of Dublin. The design philosophy for the project was to deliver sustainable, cost effective services in harmony with the Client’s requirements.

As the studio offers ‘Hot Yoga’ involving a sustained temperature of up to 40°C per session, it was important the M&E designed to be as energy efficient as possible. The air is heated energy-efficiently, with IN2’s design of an air source heat pump, and photovoltaic (PV) solar panels. Heated fresh air is constantly being introduced into the room to replace stale air using ventilation heat recovery units, allowing building users to enjoy fresh filtered indoor air.
